It began in Essaouira — an ancient walled city on the Atlantic coast of Morocco, wind-swept and full of musicians and cats. A port city but really a portal.
Kat came to say goodbye. She sang to Andy instead.
Above them, the Perseids meteor shower opened across the sky. Neither of them left.
That night became everything. Essaouira is where they met, where they married, where Francisco — their son — was conceived. It's where Dissolve Your Monsters was written. It's where the name Persiiides was born: their spelling, their night, their story.
Kat and Andy have spent the years since in motion — teaching Dissolve Therapy, Yoga, and Meditation across three continents, practising bonesetting. Francisco arrived in 2025, and the postpartum period cracked something open. An entire album came in a few weeks.
Their music sounds like that — honest, released, and alive. Songs about beauty and hardship and what it means to actually live your life. Not performing it. Living it.
